Foreign scientists participate in the PASIFIC scholarship competition of the Polish Academy of Sciences

35 scientists from abroad, winners of the first PASIFIC scholarship competition of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), will visit the institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences to conduct their research. 

Researchers will carry out their research projects in Poland between January and March 2022. The first competition will allow funding 10 projects in the life sciences category, 10 in social sciences and humanities, and 15 in science and technology. The number of grants awarded in each categories depended on how many applications were submitted in science. There were 24 men and 11 women among the winners.

Laureates will come to Poland from 15 different countries. Their researches include 17 different scientific disciplines.

The winning projects will be implemented in 22 institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The largest number of grants (3 each) will be conducted at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Archeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
