Foundation for Polish Science to launch Polish-German competition for the COPERNICUS Award

The Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) and the German association Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) are inviting outstanding Polish and German scientists to participate in the ninth COPERNICUS Award competition.

The aim of the award is to distinguish outstanding scientists from Poland and Germany who have special merits for Polish-German cooperation and can demonstrate outstanding research achievements resulting from this cooperation in any field of science, including the humanities and social sciences.

The prize is awarded in a competition to a pair of scientists, one person working in Poland and the other in Germany. The prize amount is EUR 200,000 – EUR 100,000 for each winner. These funds should be used for the further development of Polish-German scientific cooperation. The winners are selected by a jury composed of outstanding representatives of the Polish and German scientific community.
