Fuel, Working Liquids and Environmental Protection Research Center in Szczecin receive PCA accreditation

29.07.2021

The Center for the Testing of Fuels, Liquids and Environmental Protection at the Maritime University of Szczecin has been accredited by the Polish Center for Accreditation. The accreditation gives new opportunities to conduct specialized commercial research and develop cooperation with institutions and enterprises.

The Szczecin laboratory was established in 2015 as part of a project co-financed by the European Union. The accreditation confirms the competence of the personnel and the high quality of services. The certificate gives new development opportunities, but also obliges to continuous improvement of the work system.

So far, the laboratory had a certificate of recognition of the Polish Register of Shipping in testing hydraulic oils, lubricants and fuels. The newly obtained accreditation includes tests of density, viscosity, flash point, sulfur and water content in samples of liquid fuels and lubricants.
