Researchers of the University of Silesia to launch Polish-Slovenian projects

The projects of researchers of the University of Silesia (UŚ) received funds under the OPUS LAP competition, which allows researchers at all stages of their research career to apply for funding for projects implemented in international cooperation. 

Dr Agnieszka Turska-Kawa, from the University of Silesia, Institute of Political Sciences, together with the Slovenian Research Agency, will implement the project “Political potential of conspiracy theories. Study of Poland and Slovenia”. The subject of research by the Polish scholar will be movements based on conspiracy theories, triggered by the pandemic: the anti-covid, the anti-5G and the anti-vaccine movements.

Dr Justyna Ciesielczuk from the Institute of Geosciences, together with the Research Center of Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, will implement the project “Multi-proxy studies of dedolomitization processes and related speleogenesis in central Slovenia with implications for understanding the initial stages of sulphide mineralization in southern Poland”.
