The University Library of Wrocław (BUWr) has received funding for two projects from the programme Social Responsibility of Science – support for scientific libraries. The unit will implement the projects: “Silesiaca and lusatica – dissemination of unique journals of the University Library in Wrocław” and “Collection of the book collection of the Potocki family of Krzeszowice. Expansion of the BUWr computer catalogue’.
Both projects will be carried out by BUWr staff in 2023. The first involves the selection and computer processing of 160 unique titles of continuous publications from the Silesian-Lusatian collection.
The second concerns the computer processing of 1,200 works that are part of the historical collection of the Potocki family of Krzeszowice. Those books were published from the early 19th century until the 1940s. The collection, currently dispersed in various library, museum and archive institutions, is an example of a very well-preserved Polish pre-war aristocratic collection.
