Polska Grupa Energetyczna (PGE) is the main partner of a new specialization in ocean engineering at the Gdańsk University of Technology. PGE is implementing the project to build the Baltica Offshore Wind Farm – the largest wind farm in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea.

Design and construction of offshore energy systems is the first such specialization in Poland. It will prepare graduates for design work in offshore wind energy. The studies will last three semesters. The lectures will be conducted by university researchers, wind energy specialists from the Polish Academy of Sciences and experienced experts-practitioners from PGE.

“The Gdańsk University of Technology, as a leading scientific and research institution in ocean engineering in Poland, meets market trends and focuses on even better and more effective expansion of the knowledge and competences of its students and scientists°, says the director of the Institute of Ocean Engineering and Shipbuilding, Dr Eng. Wojciech Litwin.
