The Faculty of Chemistry of the Gdańsk University of Technology will take part in the research programs of the Saudi company SABIC addressed to the best technical universities in the world. The elite group also includes the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. 

Scientists from Gdańsk will take part in the work on the synthesis, properties and new applications for a new generation of functional polyolefins. Cooperation with SABIC allows scientists to access the latest technologies and it will enable the commercialization of the developed materials as nanoporous membranes, sensors and promoters of polymer miscibility.

SABIC is one of the largest chemical concerns in the world, a leader among producers of petrochemical products such as polymers, functional materials, fertilizers and metals. The company operates in over 50 countries in Asia, Europe and America.
