The construction of the Eco-innovation Center has started at the Gdańsk University of Technology. The modern and ecological center will be a research and development base for the most important specializations of the Pomeranian region – energy – saving construction, eco-energy and environmental protection technologies.
The Eco-innovation Center will be a modern building performing teaching, laboratory and research functions. It was designed on the site of the former hydro hall of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering. It will be used by academic staff of universities to conduct research projects for the needs of ecological development of construction, industrial and transport infrastructure.
The center will be one of the most important scientific units in Poland dealing with the development of pro-ecological solutions and environmental technologies. It will allow to implement innovative solutions in line with the idea of creating eco-cities and ecological spaces.
