02.04.2021

Gdańsk University of Technology is the first university in Poland that educates employees of the offshore wind energy sector. The studies are future-oriented and in line with market trends and they are gaining popularity for the third time. This year, PKN Orlen has become a new strategic partner of the course.

In the first program, the main strategic partners were GE Renewable Energy and the Polenergia – Equinor consortium (former Statoil). Currently, in the third and fourth programs, PKN Orlen has become a partner. This year it is planning to support the creation of a similar study at the Maritime University of Szczecin, as well as to support scientific research in this area conducted at the Maritime University of Gdynia.

Studies are addressed to university graduates and specialists working in the maritime sector. They will enable them to gain knowledge on the preparation and implementation of offshore wind projects, including the preparation and operation of wind farms that will soon be built in the Baltic Sea.
