Graduates of the Silesian University of Technology became laureates of the 13th national competition “Innovative Youth 2021”. The jury chaired by Prof. Eng. Janusz Kacprzyk from the Institute of Systems Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences awarded 1st and 2nd awards and distinctions in each of the categories.
Wojciech Hańderek and Eng. Paweł Polnik won the 2nd prize in their categories. The jury awarded Hańderek’s thesis “Cyber attack detection system on industrial control systems” and Polnik’s thesis “Visualization of a selected industrial process with the use of Internet technologies”.
Both works are related to the subject of cybersecurity. Their solutions have an innovative and original character and a high practical dimension. The test stand and system demonstrator at the Cybersec 2019 conference interested the experts from Samsung, Grupa Azoty, Enea, Motorola Solutions, APA Group, IOSEC.
