Researchers from Rzeszów and Opole have been awarded the first two grants in the international competition IMPRESS-U (International Multilateral Partnerships for Resilient Education and Science System in Ukraine). Over the next two years, in cooperation with scientists from the United States and Ukraine, they will jointly carry out ambitious scientific research.
The winner of the competition is the team of Dr Anna Lytova, Professor of the University of Opole, who will collaborate with Dr Radoslaw Adamczak of the University of Warsaw on a project entitled Random Matrix Theory and its Applications in Deep Learning in collaboration with 10 other participants from the United States and Ukraine.
The partner on the US side is Prof. Leonid Berlyand of Pennsylvania State University, while the research work on the Ukrainian side will be led by Prof. Victor Slavin of the Physico-Technical Institute of Low Temperatures of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kharkiv.
