27.03.2020

The Łukasiewicz – Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements (PIAP) in Warsaw has developed the TRM tactical robot, which has been supporting the work of Italian carabinieri since March.

The TRM robot is a device for supporting anti-terrorist operations. It was created in response to the dangers of reconnaissance carried out by special units before commencing the operation.

The device is structurally adapted to falls from a height, so TRM can be thrown onto the place of action in open field from a considerable distance, and then, through teleoperation, it can perform remote inspection. The robot can be equipped with blinding and deafening arms.

Its unique features include: noiseless drive system, the possibility of the use of infinitely adjustable camera view angle in the full 360 degrees, without the need for tools, the ability to trigger flash grenades, low weight and external dimensions of the control panel, the ability to operate several robots from one control panel.
