Institute of Biotechnology at the University of Rzeszów to implement MSCA4Ukraine project

The Institute of Biotechnology at the University of Rzeszów (UR) will implement the MSCA4Ukraine project, which is part of the European Commission’s activities under the Maria Skłodowska-Curie (MSCA) programme. 

The aim of the programme is to support scientific research and develop international cooperation in science and technology. The implementation of the project will allow scientists from Ukraine to continue their scientific work at universities and research institutions in European countries.

According to UR, the implementation of the project will bring many benefits to both Ukrainian scientists and the UR Institute of Biotechnology, which will be able to expand its research and international cooperation. 

As part of the project ‘Genetic control of lignocellulosic sugar transport and metabolism during alcoholic fermentation of the thermotolerant yeast Ogataea polymorpha’, research under the supervision of Dr Justyna Ruchała, will be carried out by a post-doc scientist from the Institute of Cell Biology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Lviv, Dr Roksolana Vasylyshyn.
