Interdisciplinary Research Center in Georgia

In Kutaisi, the second largest city in Georgia, the Professor Stefan Krukowski Interdisciplinary Research Center was opened. Polish scientists working in Georgia gained the base for new expeditions.

The newly opened center is the first foreign archeological station in the Transcaucasus. The archaeologists from the University of Warsaw have been conducting their research for years in this are.

The center is headed by Dr Radosław Karasiewicz-Szczypiorski from the Institute of Archeology, University of Warsaw. The Georgian partner is the National Agency for Cultural Heritage.
