The Baltic University Centre (BUP) in Poland, operating at the Technical University of Lodz, is inviting applications for the international competition for the best doctoral thesis presented in 2023.

For the Baltic University competition, dissertations presented in 2023, submitted by the thesis supervisor(s), will be accepted.

The prize will be awarded in two research areas, one for each of the fields of natural sciences, technology and engineering, and social sciences and humanities.

Submitted papers will be judged on the following criteria: originality, interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary approach, novelty, innovation, and value for promoting sustainable development in the context of the Baltic Sea region.

Winners will receive a diploma award and support of up to EUR 1,000 for participation in a scientific conference or publication in a peer-reviewed scientific journal.
