The Sports Bay of the Technical University of Lodz (Politechnika Łódzka) will host another International Sumo Challenge Robot Competition on Saturday 18 November after a three-year break.

Each year, more and more competitors take part in the event, and in the record-breaking round it exceeded the number of 250 robots entered. This year, too, visitors are invited to the Sports Bay. This is a unique event that is intended to intrigue and fascinate both robotics enthusiasts and people who are not normally in touch with this fascinating field of science.

This year, competitors will contest in 8 disciplines: Sumo, Line Follower, MicroMouse, Humanoid Sprint, Freestyle, Bear Rescue, Roborace, Ketchup House and 14 categories.

The main organisers of the event include: Skaner Robotics Student Scientific Club and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science and Automation of the University of Łódź.
