Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz to receive new equipment in laboratories of the mechatronics department

03.03.2020

The laboratories of the mechatronics department of the Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz have received new equipment, purchased under the Territorial Contract. It will be used in scientific research and for university’s cooperation with the economy.

Purchases will enable conducting research on macroscopic, microscopic and submicroscopic shredding, including research into the implementation of new shredder solutions for a wide spectrum of materials, development of innovative methods for designing machine and device components, and research in the field of medical techniques (e.g. endoprostheses).

The new devices will also allow to test porous materials and the internal structure of metals and their alloys. Equipment will give university laboratories new opportunities for cooperation with industry – in cases where companies do not have their own research base, they can turn to scientists for help.
