The Baltic Center of Competence and Innovation will be established in Koszalin to combine the potential of research activities, the provision of research services for enterprises and the transfer of technology and knowledge. The laboratories will offer preferential terms of students’ cooperation with entrepreneurs at all stages of the innovation process.
The activities of the Center will focus on cloud computing, machine learning and the Internet of Things, including wireless technologies and sensor technology, as well as additive manufacturing, 3D printing, virtual and augmented reality, as well as technologies related to renewable energy sources.
The authors of the Center are planning to create domain laboratories dealing with scientific and technical issues in various areas of key technologies supporting Industry 4.0 and in accordance with the needs of entrepreneurs using the infrastructure.
