The Krakow University of Economics (UEK) has gained a 3D Design and Printing Laboratory. The opening ceremony was held by the Rector of the UEK, Dr Stanisław Mazur, Professor of the UEK.
The laboratory was created at the Department of Product Technology and Ecology in the Institute of Quality Sciences and Product Management, as part of the POWER 3.5 programme.
The new lab has been equipped with professional 3D printers and scanners, as well as virtual reality glasses and the latest generation of haptic gloves. With these tools, students will be able to experience design and creation in a completely new way, integrating the virtual world with reality. A laboratory equipped in this way will enable the design of innovative and eco-friendly solutions.
During the opening, the Rector of UEK expressed his conviction that the new laboratory will provide an excellent place to exchange knowledge and experience and to jointly develop projects that will have a positive impact on the students’ education process.
