A cooperation agreement on joint research and technological analysis, mutual training for employees, internships and apprenticeships for students and other teaching and research initiatives was signed by Prof Andrzej Szarata, Rector of the Krakow University of Technology (PK), and Dr Richard Slovák, CEO of MAN Trucks, and Bogdan Lis, member of the company’s Human Resources Board.

Thanks to the signed agreement, students and employees of the Krakow University of Technology, particularly of the Faculties of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering, will be able to attend classes at the MAN Trucks plant in Niepołomice in the form of didactic excursions and specialised training.

The co-operation will also include the possibility for specialists from MAN’s plant to conduct selected didactic classes, and in the longer term, the establishment of joint, dual forms of education.

The company will also offer students internships and apprenticeships and the opportunity to participate in selected of its projects. The agreement also provides for the possibility for students to take up real engineering problems arising in the company’s operations in their theses.
