Krakow University of Technology (PK) has been equipped with a world-class research laboratory. Worth nearly PLN 7 million, the Faculty Research Laboratory was established at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology at PK (WIiTCh).

The laboratory has been equipped with top-class equipment for physical and chemical research in many areas of science and industry. It can be used not only by WIiTCh researchers and students, but also by other faculties of the university and external research units. The new research centre also has an extensive offer for industrial partners.

The offer of the new laboratory includes research by high-resolution scanning electron microscopy, qualitative and quantitative analysis of chemical composition in micro-areas by SEM and qualitative and quantitative analysis of phase composition by X-ray powder diffraction, measurements by SAXS, XRR, as well as high-temperature measurements by X-ray powder diffraction.
