“História da Polônia” (“History of Poland for Brazilians”) is the title of a new publication prepared by historians from the Catholic University of Lublin (KUL), who stress that it is the first attempt of its kind to present Polish history in such a way that it reaches a foreign audience.

“It is a work written especially for a specific audience – the Polish community in Brazil. Its aim is to popularise Polish history and culture in Brazil among the Polish community, often the fourth or fifth generation of immigrants from Poland”, noted the plenipotentiary of the Catholic University of Lublin for co-operation with Brazil, Dr Arkadiusz Stasiak.

The book’s authorship team includes historians Dr Piotr Plisiecki, Dr Jarosław Rabiński, Professor of the Catholic University of Lublin, Dr Arkadiusz Stasiak, Professor of the Catholic University of Lublin, and Dr Cezary Taracha, Professor of the Catholic University of Lublin.

This work was produced as part of the project “History of Poland for Brazilian Polonia”, financed from the funds of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister in connection with the competition ” Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad 2023″.
