Lodz University of Technology became the laureate of the Polish Intellectual Development Award 2018 in the “University of the Future” category. It was granted to the Łódź University for the implementation of the “Innovative Textile 2020+” project.

The aim of the Innovative Textile 2020+ project is increasing the degree of commercialization and internationalization of applied research in the field of innovative and modern textile. The project leader is the Faculty of Materials Technology and Textile Design of the Lodz University of Technology, and it is coordinated by Prof. Izabella Krucińska.

The consortium includes also the Institute of Safety Technology MORATEX, the Central Institute for Labor Protection – the National Research Institute, the Institute of Biopolymers and Chemical Fibers and the Textile Research Institute.
