Lublin University of Technology (PL) and the Archdiocese of Lublin have entered into an agreement to cooperate in the area of sacred buildings. “This is an important step towards preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Lublin region”, emphasise representatives of both parties.

“Protecting monuments requires a professional approach. That is why I am glad that Lublin University of Technology will support parish priests and vicars in this task. It is not only about technical assistance, but also about access to knowledge and experience in the field of architecture, construction and monument protection”, said Lublin Metropolitan Archbishop Fr Stanisław Budzik.

As part of the cooperation, scientists from the Faculty of Construction and Architecture of the PB will be involved in designing, but also in developing expert opinions, architectural research and conservation work on sacred buildings.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the PL by the rector of the PL, Prof. Zbigniew Pater, and on behalf of the Lublin Archdiocese by the Archbishop of Lublin, Rev. Stanisław Budzik.
