By the decision of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, the Main Library of the Academy of Physical Education in Poznań was included in the nationwide library network, after a positive opinion on the request of the library director by the Department of State Patronage of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the National Library.
The collections of the Poznań facility mainly deal with physical culture, physical education, sports, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, tourism and recreation, sightseeing, hospitality, dietetics, medical, health, social, science and natural sciences, humanities in relation to physical culture, tourism and rehabilitation.
Currently, the library’s collection includes 74,046 volumes of books and periodicals and 829 units of other non-electronic collections. The library also provides electronic collections: 209,198 book titles, 6,637 journal titles and 38 databases, also under national licenses.
