The Academic Support Center in collaboration with the Team for Supporting People with Disabilities at the Maria Curie Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin are inviting participants to the “Autism Language 2021” event organized as part of Lublin Autism Days.

“The Language of Autism” is a project aimed at familiarizing a wider audience with issues related to the spectrum of autistic disorders. For the period from April 2 to 30, 2021 the organizers have planned many events including film screenings, a series of training workshops and webinars, a knowledge quiz, publication of a series of podcasts and specialist consultations for parents and guardians. Due to the epidemic situation, all events will be held online.

The Academic Support Center at UMCS wants to draw public attention to the lack of acceptance that people on the autism spectrum often encounter, increase social awareness in this area, help understand the specificity of functioning of people affected by autism, as well as identify and promote positive patterns in the field of therapy integration.
