Maritime University of Szczecin launched the Scientific Council for Offshore Wind Energy

The Maritime University of Szczecin launched the Scientific Council for Offshore Wind Energy in Szczecin. Its main tasks include the organization of scientific and technical conferences and cooperation with business and administration in the construction of offshore wind farms. 

The purpose of the Council is to bring together all stakeholders related to offshore wind energy (OWE) and to popularize this type of renewable energy. Its activities will support the development of OWE in the area of ​​education, promotion and support for economic initiatives of wind energy.

Up to 77,000 new jobs may be created for the benefit of the OWE sector in Poland. The council can influence the directions of the development of science, the education of staff and the adjustment of curricula to market needs. Hence the Maritime University of Szczecin decided to open a new engineering study: Industrial Engineering and Offshore Wind Farms.
