Inspired by the works of Stanisław Lem, Marta Filisykowska with her work “Do You Feel Connected?” is representing Poland at the Athens Digital Arts Festival. The artist, lecturer and researcher at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk will deliver a lecture in Athens entitled “Do you feel…? – the artistic instinct as a trigger warning for science. Case study of retrofuturism”.

Installation “Do You Feel Connected?” was established in cooperation with the infuture institute, the Adam Mickiewicz Institute and the SKALP Robotics Association as part of the celebration of the Stanisław Lem Year. Last year it was presented in South Korea during the Gwangju Design Biennale.

The installation consists of nineteen tubes – each one representing one value, such as freedom, respect, good, wisdom, empathy. These values were selected on the basis of a study carried out by the infuture institute.
