Scientists from the Opole University of Technology were cited over 11,000 times worldwide in 2021. A year earlier, this number was 6.700 and already then it was much higher than years ago. The analysis was carried out by the university’s library based on the Web of Science Core Collection database.

The analysis shows that 298 scientists of the Opole University of Technology were cited 11,319 times last year. A year earlier, this number was 6.7 thousand and already indicated the strong scientific development of the university, as in 2019 there were over 30% citations less, and six years ago, the result was less than 2.700.

“The number of citations is the result of the increased number of publications in the most important scientific journals in the world, and this is a consequence of the increased level of scientific research implementation and innovation. This is a consistently implemented strategy for the scientific development of the Opole University of Technology”,  says Prof. Grzegorz Królczyk, Vice-Rector for Science and Development at the Opole University of Technology.
