Medical Research Agency to launch Clinical Research Support Centers in Poland

The Medical Research Agency (ABM) allocated PLN 100 million to create a network of ten specialized Clinical Research Support Centers. They will allow for better coordination of clinical researches in Poland.

The initiative to create Clinical Research Support Centers is aimed at making the clinical research market in Poland more attractive, which will contribute to increasing the patients’ chances of access to modern, innovative therapies, as well as the number of conducted operations.

As part of the first competition for the creation and development of Clinical Research Support Centers, ABM received 30 applications for a total amount of over PLN 300 million. It selected 10 best offers: Medical University of Lodz, Medical University of Bialystok, Medical University in Poznań, Military Institute of Medicine, National Institute of Oncology – National Research Institute in Gliwice, Medical University of Gdańsk, National Institute of Cardiology, Institute “Monument – Children’s Health Center”, Medical University in Wrocław, National Institute of Geriatrics, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation.
