The Medical University of Gdańsk is among the world’s top universities according to the latest QS World University Rankings – one of the most opinion-forming university rankings in the world and one of the four largest international academic rankings.
The university was first recorded in the Medicine category in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2022 sub-ranking (position 551-600), as the second Polish scientific institution. The first place in the world in this category was taken by Harvard University, and for Polish universities it was the Jagiellonian University – Collegium Medicum.
“We are happy to be included in the group of universities classified by QS World University Rankings in the “Medicine” category. This proves the constantly increasing level of research carried out by the GUMed and the growing research position and recognition of our University in the world”, says Vice-Rector for Science, Prof. Michał Markuszewski.
