The consortium of the Medical University of Gdańsk and LabExperts sp. Z oo will implement the CardioCarePack project. Consortium members will develop a package of modern solutions in monitored therapy in patients with cardiac arrhythmias supporting the development of personalized medicine.
The initiative includes research and development of the innovative method assuring precise and effective determination of the concentrations of drugs used in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. The currently used drug loading regimens mainly take into account the patient’s body weight, possibly also kidney and liver function, without taking into account the patient’s metabolism.
Researchers announce the creation of a highly available service – the use of dry capillary blood, which the patient will collect at home. The dedicated software will support the doctor in making decisions during pharmacotherapy, while being a platform for contact between the patient, the doctor and the laboratory.
