The Medical University of Gdańsk, as one of 12 universities in Poland, is conducting practical training to prepare for vaccination against COVID-19. They can be used by physiotherapists, pharmacists and laboratory diagnosticians.
The training consists of 2 parts. The simulation part includes exercises in administering phantom injections, while the workshop part includes: recognizing a patient in a life-threatening condition; basic methods of monitoring vital functions in an outpatient setting; basic resuscitation procedures using AED and methods of collecting and dissolving various types of vaccines.
The courses will be conducted at the Medical Simulation Center and the simulation laboratory of the Institute of Nursing and Midwifery. Classes will last 4 hours and will be conducted in groups of six, 7 days a week. The current training cycle will end on April 30, and the next one will be held in May. If necessary, they will be repeated.
