During a visit to the State Veterinary Institute – National Research Institute in Puławy, Minister of Education and Science Przemysław Czarnek handed over a cheque for PLN 3 million for the development of scientific and research activities. At the same time, he announced system changes with regard to salary regulations at research institutes.

‘It is necessary to put the system of science and research in order on a nationwide scale’, Minister Czarnek said during his visit to Puławy. “This fragmentation and different subordination of various universities and institutes introduces confusion and unnecessary disorder. It is getting to the point where even the salary regulations, which are issued by the Minister of Education and Science by decree, do not apply to everyone. I do not even talk about the responsibility for individual institutes, the responsibility for their development and their future”, he added.

The head of the Ministry of Education and Science informed that concrete proposals for system changes and unification of, among other things, salary regulations in research institutes are already prepared. The regulations will be proceeded with at the upcoming sessions of the Sejm.
