Professor Agata Szulc from the Medical University of Warsaw and Prof. Piotr Gałecki from the Medical University of Lodz received an award from the Minister of Health for preparing and publishing the book “Psychiatry”. This is the first comprehensive book for educating medical students in the field of psychiatry.

The Health Market emphasizes, that the authors presented the most important issues in the field of psychiatry, presenting the issues of mental disorders as a whole. In addition, the manual contains information about the human nervous system from the point of view of psychiatrist, forensic psychiatry, intellectual disability, as well as selected mental disorders.

The publication also contains practical guidelines for diagnosis and treatment, including how to properly conduct a psychiatric examination and how to help a person diagnosed.
