A monograph “Fair Trade and Sustainable Development. Dispersed Hybrid Markets” by a researcher at the Poznań University of Economics has been published by Routledge Publishing. The publication is the result of her own research on the specificity of the Fair Trade market as an example of sustainable markets.

According to the author, Dr Magdalena Śliwińska, Fair Trade is a social and business initiative which plays an important role in the transformation towards a “sustainable market economy”, counteracting the main social and environmental problems of the 21st century. Dr Sliwinska points out that it can have a positive impact on the market in terms of sustainable transformation – something that was previously underestimated.

The book is intended for researchers, lecturers, students, practitioners and policy makers interested in sustainable development, Fair Trade and the transformation of markets, business models and the economy as a whole towards sustainability needs.
