NASK and the Energy Institute to collaborate on cyber security

NASK – the National Research Institute and the Institute of Energy have entered into an agreement on cooperation in cyber-security and the use of artificial intelligence techniques in the energy sector. A letter of intent in this regard was signed by NASK director Wojciech Pawlak and the director of the Institute of Energy, Professor Jakub Kupecki.

In particular, the cooperation will concern the technical and procedural preparation of energy sector entities to identify cyber threats, implement appropriate safeguards and handle and report incidents, taking into account the requirements of the NIS2 directive.

The two institutes will also support each other in the creation or modification of cyber security policies, training and ICT security audits, as well as the introduction of appropriate solutions to ensure the security of the Polish energy sector at the level of current requirements.
