Under the POLNOR and POLNOR CCS competitions, 44 innovative projects will receive funding for a total of over 61.5 million euros – announced the National Center for Research and Development (NCBR).
This money will be used to develop new strategies for the treatment of cancer and infectious diseases and to improve care for patients with rheumatological diseases. As a result of the implementation of the projects, innovative industrial wool fibers from Poland will also be created, as well as self-sufficient urban greenery modules supported by artificial intelligence.
In addition, the originators of the innovative anaerobic bio-refinery will be given the opportunity to transform waste into biofuels for e.g. jet engines. Also, flame retardant and waterproof cellulose-based material can become a success in the construction, transport or packaging industries.
POLNOR 2019 and POLNOR CCS 2019 are competitions financed under the 3rd Norwegian Funds and the European Economic Area (EEA) for the years 2014–2021 under the ‘Applied research’ program. Its operator is the National Center for Research and Development.
