National Science Center to launch four new National Science Center competitions

The National Science Center (NCN) has announced four new calls OPUS, SONATA, PRELUDIUM BIS and POLONEZ BIS. Financial support may be granted to researchers of different ages and experiences, and scientists from abroad who will come to conduct research in Poland. Applications for the competitions may be sent until December 15, 2021.

OPUS 22 is a competition addressed to scientists at every stage of their career who are planning to implement projects without the participation of foreign partners and with the participation of foreign partners in bilateral or multilateral cooperation.

The SONATA 17 program aims to support people starting their scientific careers in conducting innovative research with the use of modern equipment or an original methodological solution. The addressees of the competition are researchers with a doctoral title obtained from 2 to 7 years before the year of submitting the application.

Entities running doctoral schools may apply for funding in the PRELUDIUM BIS 3 call. The aim of the program is to support the education of doctoral students in doctoral schools and to finance projects carried out by young researchers as part of their doctoral dissertations.

POLONEZ BIS is a program that integrates research, internships in non-academic institutions and training courses developing soft skills.
