Scientists from Toruń and the provincial government cooperating in the implementation of biological solutions for agriculture

The research team from the Department of Genetics, Faculty of Biological and Veterinary Sciences, the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (UMK), commissioned by the Marshal’s Office of the Province of Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship is implementing the project “More knowledge per hectare, less chemistry per hectare – preliminary research on biological solutions for agriculture”.

The implementation of the research is the result of cooperation established by the head of the Department of Genetics, Dr  Grażyna Dąbrowska, UMK and Aleksandra Kalocińska-Szumska from the Center for Academic Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer of the Nicolaus Copernicus University with Dr Eng. Wiesław Czarnecki, director of the department of agriculture and geodesy of the Marshal’s Office of the voivodeship Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. The research will be continued in cooperation with Wojciech Lorenc from a company Argo Manager.

The joint project is the first step to promising cooperation in the implementation of one of the key directions of development of the operational goal of the “2030+ Acceleration Strategy”, which is the biologicalisation of agriculture.
