The National Science Centre (NCN), in collaboration with the EU Joint Programme – Neurodegenerative Disease Research (JPND) network, is launching the ‘Large scale analysis of OMICS data for drug-target finding in neurodegenerative diseases’ competition for international research projects in neurodegenerative diseases.
The projects funded in the competition, through the use of multi-OMICS and Big Data approaches, are expected to help to better understand the complex and multifactorial pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases. The use of this approach aims to find new drug targets and biomarkers to develop tailored and personalised therapies for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, reports NCN.
JPND Call 2023 is the seventh network competition in which NCN is participating. A total of 10 projects involving Polish research teams have been funded in previous competitions of the network.
