A meat testing laboratory for trichinosis has been established at the Department of Preclinical Sciences and Infectious Diseases at the University of Life Sciences in Poznań. This site is an important step in ensuring high quality meat inspection, which is crucial for public health and food safety.

With state-of-the-art equipment and trained staff, the laboratory will play an important role in monitoring and preventing potential health risks associated with meat consumption. This is particularly important in the Wielkopolska region, which is an endemic area for trichinosis.

Meat testing is essential for the effective control and monitoring of this disease, which causes serious health problems in humans. The aim of the Laboratory is to carry out service research in order to quickly and effectively identify cases of trichinosis and take appropriate countermeasures, thus helping to improve food safety assurance in the region.
