A total of twelve patents, four industrial design rights and seven trademark protection rights – this is the record of the Kalisz Academy’s patent activity to date. They include a disposable toilet, a paste made from smoked silver carp and weapon deactivators.

The Institute’s Research and Implementation Centre is responsible for the university’s patents. It is made up of employees of the Kalisz academy, but also recognised scientists from all over Poland, including the Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz, the Mazovian Academy in Płock, Częstochowa University of Technology and the Military University of Technology.

During a meeting summarising the Centre’s activities, its director – Professor Ireneusz Dziubek – spoke of the trust placed in the university by external partners.

“One of them came forward for the food processing of fish meat products, and another, a company known throughout Europe, for an industrial technology for the ageing of traditional alcohol of the Stark type”, said the director.
