PhD student at the University of Rzeszów becomes a laureate of the International Competition “Current Science”

PhD student at the Institute of History at the University of Rzeszów, MA Piotr Olechowski took the second place in the 11th International Oleg Ken’s Competition “Current Science”. He was awarded for the work “Beginnings of activity of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Kiev after the Second World War (1947-1949)”.

International Oleg Ken’s Competition “Current Science” has been organized for 11 years by the Polish Institute in St. Petersburg, the local History Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Center for Polish-Russian Dialogue and Understanding in Warsaw. The competition is addressed to students, PhD students and young scientists from academic units from Poland, Russia and other countries, researching issues related to the Soviet Union.

Piotr Olechowski is the only Polish winner of this year’s competition.
