Researchers of the Adam Mickiewicz University awarded by the Prime Minister

Two scientists from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań received the Prime Minister’s prizes for outstanding artistic, scientific and technical achievements and PhD dissertations.

Professor Zdzisław Wąsik received an award for his contribution to the development of the theory of knowledge about language as a sign system functioning in discursive conditions. He deals with the epistemology of linguistics, the issue of sign and meaning in nature and culture. His scientific achievements include dissertations in the typology of Indo-European language syntax.

Dr Adam Paweł Gorczyński received the award for “New self-organizing metalosupramolecular networks”. The work concerns the design and synthesis of functional metalosupramolecular networks, can be used in solving global problems by their magnetic, electrochemical or biological properties.
