Stanisław Supplitt, PhD student of the Medical University in Wrocław, received the Wacław Mayzl Medical Laurel, awarded by the Polish Academy of Sciences for outstanding scientific work performed during studies.

He is currently studying at the Department of Genetics and he has formally received the distinction as a sixth-year student of the Faculty of Medicine of the Wrocław University for the series of works “Photodynamic Therapy as an innovative approach for the treatment of cancer and skin disorders”. The doctoral student of the Wroclaw University is one of six winners of this competition.

Stanisław Supplitt is also this year’s laureate of the Young Talents competition in the scientific category. He received the award together with Krzysztof Kotowski, a medical student of the Medical University of Wrocław, for research into skin cancer.
