The JPND network finances research in the field of precision medicine in neurodegenerative diseases. This time, it awarded 18 out of 180 applications.

EU Joint Programme – Neurodegenerative Disease Research (JPND) is an international undertaking aimed at supporting research on neurodegenerative diseases. First of all, its initiators strive to improve work on analyzing the causes and discovering methods for early recognition of symptoms of Parkinson’s, Huntington’s or Alzheimer’s diseases. It is also important to develop appropriate forms of therapy for the affected patients.

One of the activities undertaken by JPND is the organization of competitions for the implementation of international research projects prepared by teams of scientists from at least three countries- members of the network.
