PhD students from the University of Silesia in Katowice working with the Silesian Centre for Law Engineering, Technology and Digital Competence Cyber Science at the University of Silesia have won first place in the prestigious ‘The Future of the Internet Challenge’ competition.

Jakub Wyczik, Maciej Langer, Maciej Niezgoda and Rafał Wieczerzak will lead the class ‘Law in the metaverse: the art of AI and live NFT creation’ at the IGF Poland Digital Summit – a global forum dealing with critical issues in the digital age. The summit will take place on 4 October in Wrocław, Poland.

The workshop will present issues related to artificial intelligence (AI) and new technologies, in particular: AI-generated art, non-convertible tokens (NFTs) and their application in metaversum. The meeting programme will also include a live implementation of NFTs in the metaverse. This will be an opportunity to participate in the integration of digital resources into virtual worlds.
