Sandra Żukowska and Beata Chmiel, 2nd-year doctoral students of the Doctoral School in the Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Gdańsk – took 2nd place in the national competition “EkoMasters” organized by the Foundation for the Quality of Education.
The competition task was to present an idea or project regarding a change in the functioning of a university, a selected organizational unit of a university or people making up the academic community to reduce the negative impact on the natural environment.
As part of the competition, doctoral students prepared the project “Sustainable model of university development and community building”, which focused on presenting the proprietary model of sustainable development of the university and an ecological initiative focusing on the implementation possibilities: university farming – understood as university shared gardens.
