Płock City Hall to launch scholarship program for students

Płock City Hall is launching a new scholarship program “Grant for start”, i.e. the idea of ​​supporting young people who plan to start studies at the Płock branch of the Warsaw University of Technology or the Masovian Public Higher School. The best first-year students will be awarded a mayor’s scholarship, which they will be able to spend on research.

Funds for scholarships under the “Grant to start” program come from the budget of Płock- informed the mayor of Płock, Andrzej Nowakowski.

Scholarships of PLN 5,000 PLN in the academic year 2021/22 will be awarded to the best first-year students. The aim of this project is to encourage young people to study in Płock and to connect their future with our city – added the mayor of Płock.

The program is a pilot project and its continuation will depend on its results. The Mazowiecka Public Higher School in Płock will receive six scholarships, two for the Faculty of Humanities and Computer Science, the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Health Sciences, while the branch of the Warsaw University of Technology will receive four scholarships, two for the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Mechanics and Petrochemistry, and two for the College of Economics and Social.
